Welcome to FFRC/IFFC

Through training and assistance, the Freshwater Fisheries Research Center (FFRC), Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences (CAFS), Asian-Pacific Regional Research and Training Centre for Integrated Fish Farming (IFFC), strives to increase the availability of accessible technology in the field of fisheries/aquaculture from China. In particular, FFRC/IFFC focuses on improving the personnel ability and usability of technology, such as hydrobiology, aquaculture, farm planning and management.

 Seminar on Fishery Development and Management
The course is organized in order to promote fishery development in Developing country and enhance the economic and trade cooperation between China and the recipient countries in the areas of fisheries. The objective of the seminar is to discuss the techniques and experience of Chinese fishery development, to endow the participants with specialized knowledge of relevant subjects and practical techniques . The seminar will organize field trip to Jiangsu Bureau of Ocean and Fisheries, and Hainan Fishery Research Institute.

Technical Training Course on Aquaculture
China has the longest history of aquaculture practice in the world. Currently, its national annual fisheries production and aquaculture production rank the first in the world. The inland aquaculture, especially pond fish culture, has developed rapidly in the past two decades in China£¬which is leading in the world in terms of production and techniques. Chinese aquaculture is characterized by the pond and inland openwater fishery practices with its own technical packages. It is also a kind of culture system that well fits the concept of sustainable development and circular economy and is widely applicable for aquaculture development in developing country.
