The closing ceremony of the 19th IFF training course hold on July 16, 1999. The director of the Centre and representative from NACA, MOA of China, vice president of Nanjing Agricultural University, and guests from Wuxi Municipal Government attend the ceremony.
July 5-12, 1999
Participants are very interested in the IFF system. Prof. Yang Huazhu give the lectures and help the participants to select the best IFF system for their own country.
July 9, 1999
Upon the request of the participants, a special discussion was organized for PSB (Photosynthesize Bacteria). PSB is a kind of new developed product. It can be used as fish fry feed, in environment improving, water quality purifying and fish disease prevention. Prof Chen Jiachang answered the questions raised by the participants.
June 30-July 3, 1999
Participants went to Shanghai for 4 days of study tour. The participants enjoyed the visiting of the Cage Culture practice in DingshanHu Lake, the Fish Processing Plant and the Exhibition of Marine fishes of the East-China-Sea institute, and the Shanghai Fisheries University-- the biggest Fisheries University in China. And also enjoyed the sight-seeing and the shopping centre in Shanghai.
June 25-26, 1999
Participants went to Nantong City, Jiangsu Province for marine fish culture study tour. Participants will visit the processing plant, sea weeds culture, shell fish culture and fish culture during the study tour. Nantong City is a coastal city and famous for its marine culture through the country.

Birthday party for Mr. Bansi lal Oad from India, Mr. Khalil Abu Alasba from Libya, Ms. Igogo Cecilia from Tanzania and Mr. Sallehudin Ismail from Malaysia held in the common room of the guest house. Prof. Chen, the Project director, Prof. Miao the deputy Director of FFRC, Mr. Zhou the deputy director of the training department and some staff attend the party.
May 14-18, 1999
The 19th IFF training course went for field practice on artificial breeding of Chinese carps, which will last for 5 days. In the practice, participants will take part in all the procedure upon the artificial breeding, include applying of hormone, hormone injection, artificial fertilizer, hatchery management, fry and fingerling nursing, and so on.
May 12, 1999
In order to practice on fry and fingerling nursing, participants of the 19th IFF training course took practice on pond cleaning today. All the participants went to the fish farm with boots and raincoat, took part in the pond drainage and cleaning with quiklime.
April 23, 1999
The opening ceremony of the 19th integrated
fish farming training course was held in the centre. Mr. Wang Chengan, officer-in-charge
of the MOFTEC, Prof. Chen Jiaxin, the project director, and officers from the municipal
of Wuxi City and Jiangsu province are attended the opening ceremony. they gave very high
praise to the centre for have keep the training course going through 19 years, and warmly
welcome to the 27 participants from 21 countries. Mr. Jorge Gonzalze from Ecuador,
representative of the participants, gave the speech on the opening ceremony.
